The funny thing about candidates from Congress is that their Congressional records are accessible.
Ron Paul wants to get the government completely out of marriage. He doesn’t even want the government issuing marriage licenses. No, he does not want the church to define marriage he wants individuals to define marriage. If an individual wants the church to define it, that’s up to them; but he wants people, themselves, to define their own definitions of marriage without the government forcing one on them. He supported the MPA because it would have gotten the federal government out of marriage. A true libertarian. Stop pretending you know everything.
